# AIA (Authority Information Access) Transport Go
[![GoDoc][doc-img]][doc] [![Build Status][ci-img]][ci] [![Go Report Card][report-card-img]][report-card] [![GolangCI][golangci-lint-img]][golangci-lint] [![Coverage Status][cov-img]][cov]
AIA-Transport-Go provides an http.Transport which uses the AIA (Authority Information Access) X.509 extension to resolve incomplete certificate chains during the tls handshake. See [rfc3280](https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc3280#section-4.2.2.1) for more details.
## Installation
`go get github.com/fcjr/aia-transport-go`
## Usage
```go
tr, err := aia.NewTransport()
if err != nil {
log.Fatal(err)
}
client := http.Client{
Transport: tr,
}
res, err := client.Get("https://incomplete-chain.badssl.com/")
if err != nil {
log.Fatal(err)
}
fmt.Println(res.Status)
```
## Todos
* [X] Follow single incomplete AIA chain
* [X] Tests
* [X] CI & Code Coverage
* [X] Documentation
* [X] Chain Caching
* [ ] Certificate Caching
* [ ] Follow all possible issuing urls
* [ ] Benchmarks
## Caveats
This library relies on [x509.SystemCertPool()](https://golang.org/pkg/crypto/x509/#SystemCertPool) to gather the initial system root certificates to validate against. This function is not implemented on windows, however windows will resolve incomplete certificate chains via AIA automatically so this library simply returns a default http.Transport on windows which should be sufficient.[^1]

httpcache
=========
[](https://travis-ci.org/gregjones/httpcache) [](https://godoc.org/github.com/gregjones/httpcache)
Package httpcache provides a http.RoundTripper implementation that works as a mostly [RFC 7234](https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc7234) compliant cache for http responses.
It is only suitable for use as a 'private' cache (i.e. for a web-browser or an API-client and not for a shared proxy).
This project isn't actively maintained; it works for what I, and seemingly others, want to do with it, and I consider it "done". That said, if you find any issues, please open a Pull Request and I will try to review it. Any changes now that change the public API won't be considered.
Cache Backends
--------------
- The built-in 'memory' cache stores responses in an in-memory map.
- [`github.com/gregjones/httpcache/diskcache`](https://github.com/gregjones/httpcache/tree/master/diskcache) provides a filesystem-backed cache using the [diskv](https://github.com/peterbourgon/diskv) library.
- [`github.com/gregjones/httpcache/memcache`](https://github.com/gregjones/httpcache/tree/master/memcache) provides memcache implementations, for both App Engine and 'normal' memcache servers.
- [`sourcegraph.com/sourcegraph/s3cache`](https://sourcegraph.com/github.com/sourcegraph/s3cache) uses Amazon S3 for storage.
- [`github.com/gregjones/httpcache/leveldbcache`](https://github.com/gregjones/httpcache/tree/master/leveldbcache) provides a filesystem-backed cache using [leveldb](https://github.com/syndtr/goleveldb/leveldb).
- [`github.com/die-net/lrucache`](https://github.com/die-net/lrucache) provides an in-memory cache that will evict least-recently used entries.
- [`github.com/die-net/lrucache/twotier`](https://github.com/die-net/lrucache/tree/master/twotier) allows caches to be combined, for example to use lrucache above with a persistent disk-cache.
- [`github.com/birkelund/boltdbcache`](https://github.com/birkelund/boltdbcache) provides a BoltDB implementation (based on the [bbolt](https://github.com/coreos/bbolt) fork).
If you implement any other backend and wish it to be linked here, please send a PR editing this file.

smartcrop
=========
smartcrop finds good image crops for arbitrary sizes. It is a pure Go implementation, based on Jonas Wagner's [smartcrop.js](https://github.com/jwagner/smartcrop.js)

Image: [https://www.flickr.com/photos/usfwspacific/8182486789](https://www.flickr.com/photos/usfwspacific/8182486789) by Washington Dept of Fish and Wildlife, originally licensed under [CC-BY-2.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/) when the image was imported back in September 2014

## Installation
Make sure you have a working Go environment (Go 1.4 or higher is required).
See the [install instructions](http://golang.org/doc/install.html).
To install smartcrop, simply run:
go get github.com/muesli/smartcrop
To compile it from source:
cd $GOPATH/src/github.com/muesli/smartcrop
go get -u -v
go build && go test -v
## Example
```go
package main
import (
"fmt"
"image"
_ "image/png"
"os"
"github.com/muesli/smartcrop"
"github.com/muesli/smartcrop/nfnt"
)
func main() {
f, _ := os.Open("image.png")
img, _, _ := image.Decode(f)
analyzer := smartcrop.NewAnalyzer(nfnt.NewDefaultResizer())
topCrop, _ := analyzer.FindBestCrop(img, 250, 250)
// The crop will have the requested aspect ratio, but you need to copy/scale it yourself
fmt.Printf("Top crop: %+v\n", topCrop)
type SubImager interface {
SubImage(r image.Rectangle) image.Image
}
croppedimg := img.(SubImager).SubImage(topCrop)
// ...
}
```
Also see the test cases in smartcrop_test.go for further working examples.
## Sample Data
You can find a bunch of test images for the algorithm [here](https://github.com/muesli/smartcrop-samples).

Resize
======
Image resizing for the [Go programming language](http://golang.org) with common interpolation methods.
[](https://travis-ci.org/nfnt/resize)
Installation
------------
```bash
$ go get github.com/nfnt/resize
```
It's that easy!
Usage
-----
This package needs at least Go 1.1. Import package with
```go
import "github.com/nfnt/resize"
```
The resize package provides 2 functions:
* `resize.Resize` creates a scaled image with new dimensions (`width`, `height`) using the interpolation function `interp`.
If either `width` or `height` is set to 0, it will be set to an aspect ratio preserving value.
* `resize.Thumbnail` downscales an image preserving its aspect ratio to the maximum dimensions (`maxWidth`, `maxHeight`).
It will return the original image if original sizes are smaller than the provided dimensions.
```go
resize.Resize(width, height uint, img image.Image, interp resize.InterpolationFunction) image.Image
resize.Thumbnail(maxWidth, maxHeight uint, img image.Image, interp resize.InterpolationFunction) image.Image
```
The provided interpolation functions are (from fast to slow execution time)
- `NearestNeighbor`: [Nearest-neighbor interpolation](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nearest-neighbor_interpolation)
- `Bilinear`: [Bilinear interpolation](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bilinear_interpolation)
- `Bicubic`: [Bicubic interpolation](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicubic_interpolation)
- `MitchellNetravali`: [Mitchell-Netravali interpolation](http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=378514)
- `Lanczos2`: [Lanczos resampling](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanczos_resampling) with a=2
- `Lanczos3`: [Lanczos resampling](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lanczos_resampling) with a=3
Which of these methods gives the best results depends on your use case.
Sample usage:
```go
package main
import (
"github.com/nfnt/resize"
"image/jpeg"
"log"
"os"
)
func main() {
// open "test.jpg"
file, err := os.Open("test.jpg")
if err != nil {
log.Fatal(err)
}
// decode jpeg into image.Image
img, err := jpeg.Decode(file)
if err != nil {
log.Fatal(err)
}
file.Close()
// resize to width 1000 using Lanczos resampling
// and preserve aspect ratio
m := resize.Resize(1000, 0, img, resize.Lanczos3)
out, err := os.Create("test_resized.jpg")
if err != nil {
log.Fatal(err)
}
defer out.Close()
// write new image to file
jpeg.Encode(out, m, nil)
}
```
Caveats
-------
* Optimized access routines are used for `image.RGBA`, `image.NRGBA`, `image.RGBA64`, `image.NRGBA64`, `image.YCbCr`, `image.Gray`, and `image.Gray16` types. All other image types are accessed in a generic way that will result in slow processing speed.

* JPEG images are stored in `image.YCbCr`. This image format stores data in a way that will decrease processing speed. A resize may be up to 2 times slower than with `image.RGBA`.

Downsizing Samples
-------
Downsizing is not as simple as it might look like. Images have to be filtered before they are scaled down, otherwise aliasing might occur.
Filtering is highly subjective: Applying too much will blur the whole image, too little will make aliasing become apparent.
Resize tries to provide sane defaults that should suffice in most cases.
